Presenters: Maxine Bodden & Adam Huckle

Maxine is Of Counsel in Maples and Calder’s Trusts & Private Client team in the Maples Group’s Cayman Islands office. She specialises in advising the world’s leading banks and trust companies and private individuals on the establishment and ongoing administration of Cayman Islands trusts, including unit trusts, pension and employee benefit trusts and charitable trusts. Maxine is a leader in the use of private trust companies and all matters concerning the licensing, registration and operation of private trust companies. She also regularly advises clients on wills and the administration of estates. Maxine also provides training for corporate trustees on practical trusts management.

Adam is a member of Maples and Calder’s Litigation and Regulatory teams in the Cayman Islands. He has a broad range of litigation experience, with an emphasis on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters involving trusts, banking, investment funds and company law disputes. Adam’s regulatory practice has a particular focus on economic sanctions, but also includes advising on cross border conduct of business, duties of confidentiality, anti-corruption and bribery, and regulator information exchange-on-request.
Adam regularly appears in the Grand Court and Court of Appeal of the Cayman Islands, and has authored a number of chapters and articles for journals including International Corporate Rescue, Global Legal Insights, International Corporate Legal Guides and Practical Law.
